KARACHI: Pakistan Volleyball team outplayed Thailand by a competitive margin of 3-2 in the Al-Rashidiya International Volleyball Tournament in Dubai, registering their third win in five matches they played in the tournament, sources learnt.
According to the sources, Pakistan defeated UAE in the first game but gone down to Tunisia by 3-0. However, they struggled back to win as they defeated Saudi Arabia 3-2 before thrashing Thailand.
According to Pakistan Volleyball Federation President Muhammad Yaqoob, the team vows to finish among the top three teams in the tournament. “I am satisfied with the performance, and the tournament will only help the seniors’ team to prepare for the South Asian Games in February,” Yaqoob told local newspaper.
