Bahawalpur, Islamabad: On the occasion of Azm-e-Nau, Pakistan armed forces displayed their hidden capability of striking drone attacks. At the farewell of the event, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Pak armed forces, officials including others from 51 countries attended the day.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was welcomed by the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Pervez kayani. He himself drove the car on the ground where the arsenals of the Pak army were displayed for the strikes.
Anti Air Craft guns fired while 2 helicopters and fighter planes also successfully took part in the drone strikes. Event organized at Khairpur Tamewali district invited attention of the high army officials. Various soldiers and officials were also present.
Tanks, including various other arsenals fired the attacks. Miraj aircraft and Miraj Supersonic also displayed their capabilities of successful drone strike attempts.
It is pertinent here to mention that before the event, Some Pakistani officials have had always declined of accepting the ability to strike drone attacks.
Lack of technology was the main attributed reason. After the displays at the day several questions arise over the militant capabilities of our armed forces.
Is our government also involved in carrying out the fatal drone attacks within the State in terms with U.S.? This remains a question to many of the civilians who see the inacceptable strikes as attack to the lives of many innocent people and menace for destabilizing country’s peace.
