
Although Pakistan’s football crew wasn’t capable of quantifying for the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar, Pakistan has still managed to play a vital role in managing the mega occasion.
While Pakistan has already supplied regionally-made footballs for the World Cup, a contingent of the Pakistan Army left for Qatar on Monday October 10,2022, to take in the security of the stadiums and hotels of the teams.
A multimedia journalist, Roohan Ahmed also shared a picture on Twitter that indicates Pakistan Army troops standing in a queue to enter the plane of the Qatar Emiri Air Force (QEAF).
In addition to Pakistan, Turkey, US, UK, France, and Italy will also provide military support to contribute to Qatar’s security during the World Cup.
In the first quarter of the year in March, FIFA unveiled the official ball for the World Cup which is named as ‘Al-Rihla’. Later, it was revealed that Pakistan was the source of World Cup balls and manufactured them for Adidas, the second largest sports brand in the world.
The massive event will take place in just over a month, and planning is complete. On November 20, Ecuador will play the hosts, Qatar, in the curtain-raiser. On December 2, the group stages will be finished.
The knockout rounds will begin on December 3 and conclude on December 18 at the Lusail Stadium, one of the eight World Cup venues and one of the most significant stadiums in the country.
