A news report have revealed devastating statistics about the education system of Pakistan, among it the most destructive thing was that 32% Pakistani children between the age of 5 to 9 never attend school.
The report was prepared by Academy of Educational Planning & Management which is under Ministry of Education and by WFO which is a branch of United Nations.
There are 36,000 schools in Pakistan with only one teacher, 124,000 schools with 2 teachers. There are 50,000 schools without basic facility of water, 66,000 schools have no electricity and 44,000 schools even lack the proper walls and basic infrastructure.
32% didn’t attend school and from those who attend 31% never reach 5th class. In total there are more than 40 million school going students in Pakistan.
The difference between different areas is also alarming, for example on average a teacher teaches 37 students but in Bajour Agency a teacher is responsible for 108 students.
