Ameena Saiyid, Managing Director, Oxford University Press Pakistan, will inform the members of the electronic and print media of the details of its exciting new initiatives—Oxford Big Read and Oxford Quality School Programme in press conference.
Oxford Big Read is a first-of-its-kind reading contest for primary and secondary students in Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore. The idea behind this project is to introduce school children to quality reading materials and to inculcate in them a life-long love of reading, leading to appreciation of the written word and better learning skills. Participating students will be required to read books and write reviews on them. Winners will get exciting prizes.
Oxford Quality School Programme works towards the shared pursuit of excellence in education. It is a school support scheme, introduced internationally by Oxford University Press and is now being launched in Pakistan. The Programme provides participating institutions with a full educational solution. Looking forward to seeing you at the press conference.
