During the recent months killing in Karachi have increased day by day. More than 1400 people have been killed in 2011 till now. In July 324 people were killed.
Most of these killing are targeted and on ethnic grounds.
The areas where most of the people were killed are Orangi Town, Qasba Colony, Lyari, Old City, New Karachi, and North Karachi. In these areas more than 100 people have been killed.
More than 50 people were killed in Korangi, Gulistan-e-Jahur, Garden, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Baldia and Malir.
North Nazimabad, Nazimabad, F.B. Area, Liaquatabad, Landhi, Clifton, DHA, Mehmoodabad and Kemari have seen 26-50 peoples killing.
The most peaceful areas of the port city where less than 25 people have been killed are Societies Area which includes Bahadurabad, Bihar Muslim Cooperative Housing Society (BMCHS), Sharfabad, Karachi Memon Cooperative Housing Society (KMCHS) , Dhoraji, PECHS (Pakistan Employees Cooperative Housing Society) and Delhi Mercantile Society.
