Parveen Rehman Orangi Pilot Project director and social worker for the past 25 years was killed by unkown gunmen near Pirabad Police Station. The attackers riding a motorcycle opened fire on her vehicle when she was returning home from office. DIG Police has said that Parveen Rehman’s assassination was a result of a targeted attack and the attackers knew that she will pass from here.
Perveen was rushed to hospital by her driver, but she succumbed to her wounds. Her body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities. Her family and relatives are in a deep shock after the tragic killing.
The 55-year-old Parveen was unmarried and her total focus was on social work. She lived with her mother in Gulistan-e-Jauhar. She was Director of the Research Department in the project. Many other social orgainsiations and workers have condemned the killing of Parveen Rehman. Sindh Governor Dr. Ishratul Ebad has taken notice of Parveen killing and have ordered for investigation.
