Karachi: Matric result for the year 2018 has been announced by Board of Secondary Education Karachi. Students have applied for the admissions in colleges (1st Year).
Most of the students who passed matric examination with higher marks weren’t able to apply in colleges of their choices due to technical issues in online admission system. Students who have passed matric examinations are required to apply through online Sindh Electronic Centralized College Admission Program (SECCAP).
Karachi Board of Intermediate Education has formed claim centers in different colleges. According to the reports, students who visited the claim center to obtain information about admission forms are facing difficulties.
Students told that they have achieved A and A-1 grades by doing hard work and now they are facing such issues and wasting their time in long lines.
Director General Colleges Sindh Mashooque Baloch told that, every year more than 1 Lac students apply for admissions in colleges. Problems becomes greater due to this huge number of applications.
Moreover, he told that the problem isn’t that much big as it is appearing. None of the application will be ignored and all the admissions will be given on merit.
Online Admission System was introduced in 2014. Before this system was initiated, students have to submit manual forms and wait for admission lists to be announced.
