Non Muslim MNAs has suggested to deduct some holidays from Eid if there are too many national holidays. PPP MNA Ramesh Lal and PML-N’s Dr Ramesh Kumar Vankwani raised the issue in National Assembly in response of statement on holiday on the occasion of Holi by Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed that Pakistan already had too many national holidays.
Non-Muslim MNAs appreciated Sindh government for declaring Holi as official holiday and suggested that Federal Government should also do the same. Dr Vankwani demanded that Holi and Diwali are the two biggest religious festivals of Hindus that’s why federal government should declare holidays on these days.

He added that he supports the demands of Hindu MNAs.
Previously, senior member of the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) Vijay Jolly visited Islamabad and while speaking at the National Press Club he said that Muslims in India have holidays on both Eids and also on Ashura and he suggested the similar arrangement for minorities in Pakistan.
PTI’s Hindu MNA Lal Chand Malhi said that this facility is available to religious minorities in many countries.
