Lahore: In order to recognize the media persons’ role in the propagation of information, creation of awareness and for highlighting the critical issues of society, the 9th Green Media Awards-2012 distribution ceremony will be held next month under The National Forum for Environment and Health (NFEH).
NFEH President Naeem Qureshi told on Saturday the Annual Environment Excellence Awards were started eight years ago and had drawn out a very fervent feedback from the industry and service organizations,
He declared these awards as a benchmark for the standards that need to be carried further and stated that NFEH is a non-governmental and non-profit organization established on June 5, 1999 with a main objective to create awareness regarding environment, healthcare and education among the masses.
The journalists who had created awareness about environment during the last year could submit their nominations for the awards by July 5, he added.
