
Police have announced to keep the beach at Clifton open on the occasion of New Year in Karachi, but arrangements will be made by the traffic police to avoid traffic jams. Under which there is a program to possibly detour the roads leading to the beach.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) South Asad Ali Raza, Sea view will remain open on the arrival of the New Year. Citizens can celebrate the New Year by coming to their favourite entertainment destination, Sea View.
He said that extraordinary security measures are being taken on New Year’s night, more than 2,500 policemen will perform security duties in and around Sea view.
According to SSP South, who asked to celebrate the New Year within civil law, no rioting will be allowed.
SSP Asad Raza said that there will be taken strict action against those who fired in the air, a case of murder will be registered.
He also said that aerial firing, one-wheeling and dangerous driving will not be allowed.
According to SSP South, Mounted Police will be deployed on the coast and Shaheen Force soldiers on the roads to protect the citizens.
He also informed that one and a half hundred lady constables will also perform security duties on New Year’s night.
According to Asad Ali Raza, the highways adjacent to Sea view will be made one-way from 10 pm on December 31. Citizens should avoid unnecessary fireworks on Sea view.
