Yaseen Khalid, Nabeel Siddiqui & Mohammad Saquib from Karachi were alarmed by the devastating situation of Syria where millions became refugees after the war erupted. They decided to design a house which can be built for such people at minimum time with lowest possible cost.
They selected it as their final year project but even their professors believed that they were being crazy and they didn’t succeed in their research & construction design when they graduated. But one teacher supported them and motivated them to explore the idea.
But to move forward they needed money, they tried to get sponsorship from steel and cement corporations but only received wishes. Finally they themselves funded the material by their pocket money and by the help of their families.
Their project was selected at the tech incubator The Nest i/o which further polished their skills through proper mentoring and training. Now these three young civil engineers are busy in increasing their team and creating opportunities.
