NED University of Engineering and Technology launched their online degree verification system which can be accessed through any part of the world.
This new online system which is based on blockchain technology will help to authenticate degrees of NED graduates for different institutions and universities in different countries where NED students may try to seek admission for higher studies.
The new online process was developed with support of Block Shift Technologies which is a startup of NED University Alumni.
This is not only a reliable system but will also save time and cost for those trying to verify the degrees.
Ms Ava Ardeshir Cowasjee inaugurated this new system along with Hakim Ali Talpur who is the regional director of Higher Education Commission. NED University Vice Chancellor Prof Sarosh Hashmat Lodi was also present at this historic moment.
It is the first time that any university in Pakistan is using Ethereum platform for verification of degree and certificates.
Many reputed universities and institutes from across the globe are using blockchain technology for authentication of degrees, such as:
