Lahore: Ibrar Watto, the alleged killer of Owais Aqeel, Nazim Islami Jamiat Talaba, Punjab University flew away to Sharjah Sunday night immediately after the firing incident that took the life of IJT activisit in PU LAW College, sources told AwamiWeb.
Meanwhile, IJT has given Punjab government ultimatum till Wednesday afternoon to held the murderers while Provincial government has marked the allegations leveled on Watto ‘false’.
According to details, IJT accused PU administration of putting up Wattoo, former IJT member and a current Shabab-e-Milli worker, and giving him illegal habitat and protocol in PU hostels.
Addressing a press conference, the IJT leaders demanded the Punjab government arrest the murderers immediately and constitute a judicial commission for fair and free investigation in the murder of its activist.
Meanwhile, IJT members also suspended the academic activities in the university as a mark of protest and stopped the teachers and students from taking classes and lectures. They warned the administration that IJT would not be responsible if the murderers of Nazim held within the given deadline.
Separately, the PU spokesman strongly refuted allegations leveled by the IJT activists against the administration, saying IJT is misguiding media by distorting facts
