Accountability Court rejected applications of Ex-Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for clubbing together three cases and read out charges against him. The judge indicted Nawaz Sharif in three cases while the ex-PM pleaded not guilty.
Nawaz Sharif also raised concern that the time of 6 months given by Supreme Court was not enough for four references because each will get only 1.5 months but accountability believed that the time was enough for hearing the cases.
The hearing was adjourned till November 15 and court revived summons for Sidra Mansoor of Securities Exchange Commission & Jahangir Ahmed of Federal Board of Revenue. They are called to appear in next hearing as prosecution witnesses.
Prosecution said that the references were filed in a hurry because National Accountability Court (NAB) is still waiting for evidences from other countries which may take more time.
