Abbotabad: Naib Amir Jamat-e-Islami Karachi chapter, Nasrullah Shaji has drowned in Kunhar River, Balakot whereas rescue workers are busy in finding him, sources said. According to details, Nasrullah Shaji took a group of students from Karachi to Balakot on study tour where a student named as Sufyan Asim slipped and fell into the river this afternoon. Nasrullah Shaji in order to save the child jumped into the river but unfortunately, he lost his balance and drowned along with the child. On the other hand, rescue workers are busy in finding them.
Amir Jamat-e-Islami Karachi chapter, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman reached at the site after receiving the news. In the meantime, standing Amir Jamat-e-Islami Karachi chapter, Muzaffar Ahmed Hashmi appealed to the public and members Jamat-e-Islami to pray for the safety of Nasrullah Shaji and the student Sufyan.
Nasrullah Shaji was born in Hyderabad Colony of Karachi in 1972. He joined Islami Jamiat Talaba in his student life and played a vital role in student politics. He had been the Nazim Jamat-e-Islami Karachi from 1996 to 1998. He got Masters Degree in International Relations from the University of Karachi and after the completion of his studies; he joined Jamat-e-Islami and played a great role in politics.
