As many as 600 Rohingya men were sent behind the bars in Myanmar when sectarian violence gripped the Rokhine State. The highly targeted among them are the minority dwelling Muslim people and the Buddhists.
Rakhine lies along the coast of Bengal, cut off through mountain ranges from rest of the world. Cries of the Muslim victims remain unheard and addressed to the world. The United Nations have termed the Rohingya community at the most suffering Muslim minority, globally.
At the hands of the Buddhists forces, the victims usually get inflicted with torture and unjust attitude for over a decade. They are devoid of practicing religion, travelling freely while they are also barred from having more than two children. The Nasaka forces would come any time and kill the men and rape women for no reason.
Many are sentenced to capital punishment with allegations leveled for murdering Buddhists religious figures, without any evidence. The statewide riots would hold Buddhists and Muslims to bear the harsh consequences.
Men behind the bars are thrown like thrashes, severely beaten, legs chained, and left naked stripped.
United Nations had tried to contact the Myanmar government over their accountability for inhumane practice with minorities. But they had not responded to any of the inquiries made.
Hence, it further signifies that the attempts made are deliberate. While, we Muslims continue to fight amongst ourselves, there are others who call for our attention.
