At last member of MQM Co-ordination Committee Mr. Mustafa Kamal gathered his energy and jumped into a verbal salvo to face Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza’s allegations against MQM and Altaf Hussein. After the press conference at Karachi Press Club in which Dr. Mirza resigned from his positions, Media Channels that had no dare to say a bit of words against MQM made Mr. Mirza a Hero as they fully availed the opportunity which is surely appreciable because none dared to speak against MQM previously! It was surely expected that one of the MQM leaders would sooner or later hold a seat to counter Mirza’s allegations and after a long silence, Mr. Mustafa Kamal held a press conference!
People think that MQM has educated people in abundance but it feels wrong as whenever we have watched talk shows or other programs in which MQM leaders are present, they have always either threatened anchors or politicians on live programs or after the programs! Also there are many occasions where MQM leaders have used very abusive language! Even they don’t take care of women’s respect! There are many video clips available on internet in which Pakistani nation can see how MQM leaders i.e. Waseem Akhter, Haider Abbas Rizwi, Mustafa Kamal etc. have badly treated with media persons and common men! This is actually the first time that someone has dared to see into MQM eyes and exposed MQM’s bad deeds before the nation! As MQM holds power in Karachi and Hyderabad, it should have definitely taken steps to cope with extortion mafia, land-grabbing, target killing and other crimes but de facto these crimes increased during MQM’s government by MQM’s activists! Not only MQM gave free hand to its terrorists, target killers and extortionists to make Karachi hostage but also showed the way to other parties to do the same! This is the reason we see that MQM as well as ANP, LYARI AMAN COMMITTEE, SUNNI TEHREEK and others continued the same criminal activities in their areas and now the situation has worsened a lot!
As Mr. Mustafa Kamal threatened news anchors and told a lie in his conference is greatly condemnable! His press conference was a reaction to Mr. Mirza’s press conference and he took a long time uselessly as every body knows MQM’s reality! The aim of the conference was to pressurize media channels to keep silent and surely the press conference was somewhat successful as a news channel the same day praised him a lot on live call! Mustafa Kamal used abusive language for senior journalists declaring a couple of journalists “Yajuj Majuj”! Also there are many foolish things he spoke in his speech to fully control media! Moreover he told a lie about the letter written by Altaf Hussein for Tony Blair and claimed that the address of MQM’s office on the letter was wrong whereas MQM’s own website revealed the secret that the old address of MQM’s office was in Colindale!
If media channels are criticizing MQM and exposing their bad deeds, MQM should face the allegations patiently and resort to court! The Supreme Court’s suo Motu hearing on Karachi’s situation is appreciable and the whole nation hopes justice! People of Karachi are fed up with bad circumstances of Karachi on daily bases and want freedom! May Allah Almighty have mercy upon Karachi but the whole Pakistan! Aameen!
