Karachi: Yesterday on Wednesday the women wing of the Mohajir Sooba staged a rally to demand a separate province for Mohajirs. The Mohajir Sooba Tehreek has now gained a lot of publicity and popularity in the metropolis Karachi. A big public rally was observed on Wednesday of women wing. Thousands of women protested outside the Arts council of Pakistan marched towards the Karachi press club.
All the women leaders of Mohajir Sooba Tehreek participate in it and the member of Mohajir Rabita Council leader Rukhsana Anwer tens of thousands people migrated to Pakistan after the Indian partition of 1947. She further said whenever the majority of people want a separate province is created on administrative basis where as the Urdu speaking community is yet deprived from the privilege.
The leaders of the Tehreek made sure that this movement is not against Sindh or against any one interest. She said that the Urdu speaking community has faced discrimination in the job opportunities.
She demanded that Nawaz Sharif, Altaf Hussain, President Zardari, PM Gilani and all the national leaders should support this cause and make the announcement of Mohajir Sooba.
The other women leaders of Mohajir Sooba Fehmida Rajput, Suriya Begum and Laila Khatoon were also present in the protest rally.
