Islamabad: The Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that the cellular and data services might remain blocked in any part of the country where the terror activities would be felt, including Karachi, Lahore, Quetta and other major cities during Eid ul Adha, sources learnt Tuesday.
According to sources, a letter will be issued to Pakistan Telecommunication Authority by the Ministry of Interior, to direct the cellular service providers to block services right after the orders.
Malik added that terrorists usually used mobile phones to detonate explosive devices, so in order to prevent any mishap during the blessed occasion, the people in Pakistan might again suffer network problem like they undergone at Eid-ul-Fitr.
