Millions In Karachi Will Become Refugees In Few Years, Scientist Claim

cities under seaSea level is rising by 3 inches each year since 1992, this may seem insignificant but if you sum it up for the last 24 years it becomes around 2 meters!

[junkie-alert style=”red”] If it continues to rise with the same speed then areas like Clifton, Defence, Mehmoodabad and Korangi will be under sea In next 30 years. Cities like Karachi and Thatta will be affected severely, millions will become refugees in just few years. [/junkie-alert]

Tom Wagner, NASA scientist said that “People need to understand that the planet is not only changing, it’s changed.”

He said that more 150 million people in Asia live within 3 feet of the sea, they all will be affected in next 30 years.

The major reason for rising sea level is increasing temperature due to which ice is melting at Antarctica.
