Arctic Monitoring and Assessment Programme declared that by 2040 there will be no ice in Antarctica. All ice will melt causing devastating effects around the globe as they sea level increases.
Dr Twila Moon of University of Colorado said that millions will be forced to leave their homes and cities, wildlife will vanish and the source of water and food will be destroyed.
The affect of melting glaciers is not limited to sea level rather earth’s ear & water circulation system will also change causing severe problems around the globe. In some areas the sea will rise by as much as 5 meters, cities like New york, Mumbai and Dubai are at high risk because of being situated on sea shores.
Change in climate will also cause severe snowfall, heat and rainfall which will cause flooding and devastation. If big countries fail to take notice then millions will lose their life.
