Supporters of Tehreek Labbaik Pakistan are protesting in Islamabad from past 6 days but there is a media blackout against thousands of supporters who are demanding resignation of Federal Law Minister Zahid Hamid on the issue of electoral reform bill.
The government after approval from senate changed electoral reform bill, though only few words were changed in the bill but it was seen as an unpopular move by government creating opposition from all parts of the country. The government amended and returned to the previous wordings but the protestors are demanding prosecution.
They believe that the move was a planned move and law minister should be removed for failing to protect the blasphemy law. They are also demanding investigation to find out how and why this amendment was made.
Government has filed FIR against Allama Khadim Hussain Rizvi who is leading the protest in Islamabad.
