Karachi: Annual Matriculation examinations of the year 2012 under Board of Secondary Education to kick start from today (Thursday) with Matric Islamiat paper to be held at 9 in the morning. Three lac eleven thousand and ninety seven students will take part in the examinations of Science and General group of class 9th and 10th altogether.
However, a total of 1 lac 28 thousand and 983 students will appear in the Matric exam today which includes 72 thousand and 584 male and 56 thousand 399 female students.
A total of 250 examination centers in various private and government schools in the different parts of the city are established by the board for the appearing students. Due to the sophisticated law and order situation in the city, the Secondary Education Board Karachi has declared 70 examination centers as sensitive in 12 towns of the city where the request of deploying Rangers has also been made by the authorities.
However there are also some schools that are not considered sensitive centers and the students are facing difficulties to reach those examination center.
The examination centre of many schools of Buffer Zoon has been established in Saint Jude’s High School at North Nazimabad near Husain De Silva and the students having exams here are unable to reach the centers because of the worse law and order situation in these areas.
