New Delhi: Indian Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh has criticized Narendra Modi, leader of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for stirring conflicts aimed at affecting Muslims. He opined figure, which backs massacre killing of innocent people shall not become PM of India. “If he comes into power, it will be devastating for the country”, said Singh.
The PM further said that he would not contest for Ministry position, for the third time. He opined Rahul Gandhi from Congress stands out as the most compatible candidate. However, official announcement will be made by the Congress.
He said the district governing body; Congress had not showed up good performance. However, in future time, they are likely to learn from their mistakes, stated the renowned economist, expressing his views.
Manmohan stated that during Musharraf’s regime, the two countries were to enter into negotiable agreements over the important issues. But after the change of ruler in the year 2007, the agreements could not proceed, he added.
Addressing the press conference, held at New Delhi, The Prime Minister said during the retired Major General’s period of tenure, India was to negotiate into peaceful terms with Pakistan over many of the important issues, including Kashmir. But, the change in power disabled to move on with the talks, said Manmohan.
He stated, often the fragile situations, restricted him to come to Islamabad. However, he looks forward to visiting Pakistan once during his tenure. Further he expressed willingness to enjoy good and friendly terms with Pakistan.
