Lahore: Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) has denied arrest of any of its student on terrorism charges. According to the reports, on 13th of January 2016, leading news channels of Pakistan have on-aired a news regarding arrest of LUMS student claimed to be involved in Pathankot attack. The news channels claimed that the sources of law enforcement agencies have confirmed that they have arrested suspected terrorist named Usman Sarwar from LUMS, involved in Pathankot incident, in India.
After this, Director General Administration Aamir Khan has denied this news and clearly mentioned that not a single student of LUMS has been arrested. Dean of LUMS Yasir Hashmi has also ruled out this news and said that they have immediately contacted Usman Sarwar, he was present in library.
Shocked to see a news channel run a story featuring pic of a LUMS student saying he's one of the JeM men arrested – it's NOT HIM
