There are around 186 countries and territories that have been affected by the coronavirus spread but yet there are many countries that have no confirmed cases of the viral disease.
A total of 35 countries have recorded no cases of COVID-19, this includes countries that announced suspected cases but those were later cleared. Some other countries such as Syria and North Korea are also included in the list as officially they have no cases for Coronavirus but many suspect that the authoritarian governments are hiding the details of the spread of disease.
The list of the countries where no confirmed cases are reported is as follows:
- D. P. R. of Korea
- Federated States of Micronesia
- Lao People’s Democratic Republic
- Republic of Yemen
- Republic of Palau
- Republic of the Marshall Islands
- Saint Kitts and Nevis
- Solomon Islands
- Sierra Leone
- São Tomé and Príncipe
- Western Sahara
Many of the above countries have taken preventive measures to stop the spread of virus from foreign passengers, while others have been protected due to small numbers of citizens traveling overseas.
