Under the auspices of District Municipal Corporation Karachi, Central Library Day and Book Fair will be held at Taimuria Libray, North Nazimabad in Karachi on 21st February, 2012 (Tuesday).
Qiraat, Naat Khwani and speech competitions is arranged for children. Participants will receive gifts and prizes.
Special measures by DMC (District Municipal Corporation) Central on the occasion of Library Day are:
- Status of Model Library for Tamuria Library with a provision of modern facilities.
- After a long period of time, issuance of books from libraries of DMC Central
- Establishment of Computerised Library and IT Centres in the libraries of all zones of DMC Central (Gulberg, Liaquatabad, North Nazimabad, New Karachi)
