Lenovo is one of the largest technology manufacturers in the world with a wide portfolio of products from personal computers to servers and mobile phones. According to sources Lenovo is preparing to enter the Pakistani smartphone market with the launch of atleast 10 different smartphones.
Lenovo is well known around the world for its computer equipment and specially its laptop range marketed as the Lenovo ideapad and Lenovo thinkpad. In fact Lenovo was the worlds largest personal computer vendor in 2013. Although Lenovo is comparatively new in the smartphone business, it has grown steadily and is considered the number one smartphone manufacturer in China and number four worldwide according to sales and shipments.
The launch is speculated to be held in Karachi and it is believed that the company will start off by targeting the low to mid range market in Pakistan with atleast 3 models priced about Rs 15000. Lenovo has seen success with its popular S series and Kseries phones. The S series phones are powerful gadgets with large crisp screens and high quality audio designed to meet the entertainment needs.
Also popular are the K series which are high end phones with high quality finish and materials and sleek designs, and the Vibe series which are premium range designer smartphones. With the expanding Pakistani smartphone market after the launch of 3G services in the country, new smartphone manufacturers will ensure plenty of good choices for consumers.
