Center for Sustainability Research & Practice (CSRP) is organizing Pakistan’s First International Youth Summit 2017 which will be held in the provincial capital Lahore.
IYS will start from 6th of November and will end on 12th November. The summit is aiming for global cooperation and collaboration to establish rules which will waive the way for joint efforts.
Many government and non-government organizations are co-organizers of the event which include:
- Ministry of Education Government of Punjab
- Punjab Assembly
- Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI)
- District Government Kasur
- The Digital Factory (TDF)
- Youth to Youth Initiative (Y2Y)
The main objective is to propose education plans and reforms which will change the current education system which is focused on producing robots rather than supporting innovative minds.
Young entrepreneurs, Activists, academics, professionals and journalists can take part in the summit. To participate in the event they are required to submit an application form which is available from IYSL website. The last date of submission is 31st August.
International participation is also encourage, all expenses of food, transport and accommodation will be the responsibility of the organizers except the airfare to and from Pakistan.
