King Salman will step down to pave way for his son Mohammad Salman who was behind the recent attempts of holding the grip by arresting and executing princes, claims British media.
Quoting royal sources British media claimed that within one week Saudi Prince Mohammad Salman will be made the King in the final step of consolidating power.
This comes as a shock because previously no prince was made king while the previous ruler was alive, even during extreme illness King Fahd remained in power though government was run by other princes.
Bloomberg quoted Saudi official rejecting the claim that King Salman will step down in any near future, the rejected the claim of Daily Mail.
Recently more than 40 ministers and princes were arrested and some were killing in air crash and firing incident which were linked with the Royal family struggle. Saudi government claimed that the air crash was accident and the arrests were on corruption charges.
