Khanpur: Transformer Blast At Chehlum Jalsa

Khanpur: At least 10 died and several injured in blast near Darbar Chowk. According to RPO Bahawalpur Abid Qadri, it was neither a suicide attack nor planned bomb blast because it was an electrical Transformer blast. He said that explosion in Transformer happened when “Alam (flag)” touched with that transformer. He also rejected death claim and said that he is not sure.

The blast occurred at Darkhwasti Chowk near Imam Bargah. More casualties possible where recue tam rushed to location. On other hand, private media claimed that there is no proper rescue teams were available at site. Hospital sources told that 30 people are injured.

It’s worth mentioning here that Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain is being observed today in all over the world.
