KESC Lost 80 Megawatts From Nuclear Power Plant (KANUPP)

KARACHI: The Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) lost 80 megawatts input on Monday owing to the shutdown of Karachi Nuclear Power Plant (KANUPP) due to some technical fault.

Tariq Rasheed, the spokesman to KANUPP, told  the nuclear power plant has been closed down in view of repair work, which is due to take approximately 2 weeks in complete restoration.

As a result of the power breakdown, the duration of load shedding has increased in the city of  karachi
