Admissions for Pharm-D are going on at the Karachi University for the session 2015. The candidates can get the admission forms from the UBL Silver Jubilee gate booth, University of Karachi branch till the 27th of November, 2014. The form is available for Rs 2000. Sessions will be started both in the morning and the evening. The closing percentage for the morning and the evening programs are different. In case of the morning program, the closing percentage is 63.73% in their 2014 intermediate results, while for the evening program; the closing percentage is 75.36%.
The candidate must at least have 60% marks in the intermediate pre-medical or any other equivalent examination. Applicants with certificates other than the Public Sector Boards of Pakistan must submit the equivalence certificate issued by the IBCC or Equivalence Committee of the University of Karachi at least 3 days before the list is announced. Applicants will have to go through an entry test. Previously, the candidates were required to get at least 60% marks in the entry test, but this has been reduced to 50%.
The faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Karachi was the first to be set up for this field in Pakistan.
