Karachi University (KU) has finally decided to get some innovation and introduce online admissions form for the first time in history. For this purpose a committee has been formed.
Currently students are required to visit the university for getting the admission form, they are also required to visit the university to submit the form but from next semesters things are hoped to get changed. A committee consisting of 31 officials have been formed which is tasked with making the admission form online.
Now Students will get the admission form and deposit slip from a dedicated website portal, they will be required to pay the amount in bank and submit the complete form online.
It is hoped that this new system will also be helpful in reducing corruption which is very prevalent among the administration of the University. As the system will be computerized the chances of corruption will also be reduced significantly.
Many private universities have switched to online admissions from many years which reduced the work load on the administration and have resulted in reducing the time of admission process. It is hoped that the online system at KU will also make the admission process easy for students saving their time.
More than 24,000 students are studying at the campus excluding the number of private students. This small technological advancement from the administration will benefit these thousands of students. On many occasions these students have criticized the slow & out dated admission process of the University.
