Annual Tableeghi Ijtema has started in Karachi on 31st January and will continue till the morning of 3rd February. The Ijtima is a three day religious gathering of the Tableeghi Jamaat which is held each year in Orangi Town, Karachi.
Currently thousands of people are present in the Ijetamah Gah where tents have been erected to accommodate these participants. Most of the attendees will stay in the camp for three days while thousands from different parts of the city will visit it for few hours.
People started coming in the Ijtemah Ground on Thursday and will start dispersing on Sunday morning.
Provincial government made special security plan for the event along with traffic plans as it is expected that huge flow of cars, motorcycles and other vehicles may create traffic problems.
Leading scholars and preachers affiliated with Tablighi Jamaat will give sermons on different topics. The timing for the first sermon will be after fajar and last after esha. To know the exact location check this Google Map:
In previous years Maulana Tariq Jameel also addressed the participants and it is also expected that Maulana Tariq Jameel will also address the ijtema in 2019.
People from other cities of Sindh such as Hyderabad, Sukkur, Mirpurkhas, Badin, Dadu, Khairpur, Thatta, Nawabshah, Tando Allahyar, Tando Adam and other parts.
Participants from Balochistan will also participate in the event such as from Hub, Gwadar and Turbat areas.
Multiple entrance gates have been established to distributed the inflow of people with designated parking area for vehicles.
Food stalls & book stalls will also be available within the area for the gathering.
