New Chief Police of Karachi Dr Amir Ahmed Shaikh in his first media conference on Saturday told about his campaign against Street Crimes. The Chief of Karachi Police asked the citizens to forward their complaints regarding street crimes on WhatsApp number.
The Chief of Police advised to send the recorded video of street crime or complaints against other crimes to the following WhatsApp number: 0343-5142770.
Chief of Karachi Police Dr Amir Shaikh also told that if citizens can also report the undesirable behavior of Police on to the provided number.
Dr Amir Shaikh said that besides these street criminals, the police has also made a plan to take action against proclaimed offenders and absconders on a daily basis. Moreover, he told that the police has a list of criminals and they have also decided to get help from other security and defence institutions.
During his brief with media he also said that they have made some efforts to improve the services of Madadgar-15. They have provided more vehicles, motorbikes and manpower so that the complaints regarding crimes could be responded in few minutes.
He said that, around 150 suspects were arrested on a daily basis but most of them were released due to poor investigation of cases. He added that we will also work on enhancement of investigation system so that offenders could not get the bail from courts.
