Islamabad: Justice Asif Saeed Khosa, the member of the seven-member bench that convicted Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on contempt of Court have plead the people of Pakistan to rise, to rise against the injustice and to safeguard the system and constitutional structure.
An additional note of six pages was added by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa that appealed the Pakistanis to protect the constitution and systems of the country, taking it as an obligation.
Justice Khosa remarked that it is obligatory for the people to stand up for the justice, if the authorities decide not to abide the order of Apex courts.
His lengthy note included a rendition of Lebanon Philosopher Kahlil Gibran’s poetry — “pity the nation that demands justice for all but is agitated when justice hurts its political loyalty.”
He said that pity the nation who got Independence in the name of religion but forgot the rights and do not continue the self accountability process, the rulers must not forget the consequences of Arab Spring and, he added.
