Islamabad: The Chief Justice Lahore High Court Justice Azmat Saeed has been nominated for the Supreme Court by the parliamentary committee formed to appoint judges, meeting approved the appointment on Tuesday, sources told.
According to the details, the Parliamentary committee chaired by Aftab Shaban Mirani at the parliament house, approved the appointment of serving LHC Chief Justice Azmat Saeed at the SC, who will be replaced by Justice Umar Ata Bandial as new Chief Justice LHC when he leaves office.
After the meeting, Mirani told the media that all the decisions of appointing judges have been reached with mutual consensus.
