Jinnah Express is a new VIP train service by Pakistan Railways which provides non-stop passenger service from Karachi to Lahore and vice versa at affordable ticket prices.
Sheikh Rasheed revealed the details of the train service at the inaugration service which was also attended by Prime Minister Imran Khan. Previously it was scheduled to be inaugurated on March 23rd but was delayed.
Timing & Schedule:
The train will depart from Karachi Cant Station daily on 3 PM while from Lahore the departure timing is 2:30 PM. It covers the distance in 16 hours and 30 minutes.
The other premium train service between Karachi & Lahore is Green Line Express which covers the distance between these two cities in 16 hours & 30 minutes and charges Rs. 5450.
It is expected that Jinnah Express will also cover the distance in similar hours as it will travel non-stop between the two provincial capitals of Sindh & Punjab.
Ticket Prices:
The ticket charges and rates for Jinnah Express are fares are Rs. 6,500 for adults and Rs. 4,900 for children & kids.
Initially it was expected that multiple classes will be available in this luxurious train but later it was revealed that Jinnah Express will provide only AC Business class service from Lahore to Karachi.
All modern facilities will be available in Jinnah Express such as meals including breakfast, lunch & dinner, WiFi Internet, Television and others.
Online Booking:
Online booking for all train services of Jinnah Express is available through the official website of Pakistan Railways. Passengers can also book their ticket through the mobile app from the comfort of their home.
Smartphone users with android based system can download the app from Google Play Store for free. The app allows passenger to check ticket fares, timing and all booking details. Passenger selects the date and seat and then through multiple options can choose the payment method.
