Political alliance for next elections is being considered because no single political party would be in a position to form the coming government in the country. It is a general perception that the votes of the religious parties while contesting elections should not be divided and for achieving that goal, Jamaat-e Islami is making sincere efforts. People had rejected Pervez Musharraf and elected the rulers to govern the country but the later have utterly failed to deliver to the masses.
JI Chief Syed Munawwar Hassan stated this while addressing a large congregation of women of JI at Idara-e Noor-e Haque Tuesday.
While criticizing the government, he said that the present government has during last four years pushed the masses into despondency as it failed to address people’s grievances. The unchecked poverty, skyrocketing prices of essential goods and edibles, groceries and utilities have writhed people’s staying power while the government is depending on foreign loans.
Regretting the role of political parties, the JI Chief said that it was JI that launched ‘Go America Go’ movement and had invited all other political parties to add their share to the movement but very little was added but JI did stop for a moment.
