Jamat ud Dawah will organize a seminar today at Chuburgi Chowk, Lahore, concerning “Yowm-e-Takbeer” campaign that has been launched recently. Prof. Hafiz Saeed, head of JuD, will give an exclusive speech. Other representatives of various religious and political parties will also participate. Moreover, a grand “Takbeer Caravan” in Faisalabad will make its way from Nishatabad to Chowk Ghanta Ghar. Grand “Yowm-e-Takbeer” conventions will be held on 25th, 27th, and 28th May in Karachi, Multan and Islamabad respectively in which a variety of religious, political and Kashmiri organizations will participate.
An extensive advertisement campaign regarding “Yowm-e-Takbeer” had been carried out in all provinces including Azad Kashmir, and the local teams of Jamat-ud-Dawah had been motivated under the guidelines of Prof. Hafiz Saeed to ensure the success of this campaign. Various advertisement tools including pamphlets, banners and documentaries are being used for public-awareness.
Prof. Abdur Rahman Makki, head of JuD’s political affairs, explained that “Yowm-e-Takbeer” was the day of 28th May, 1998, when Pakistan became the world’s first Islamic nuclear power, and the arrogance of India was crushed into pieces. Since then, Pakistan has been a target of enemies of Islam, and sectarianism, terrorism and ethnic strife are being used as weapons to destabilize the country. It is therefore our duty to stand united with the Armed Forces.
The “Yowm-e-Takbeer” campaign, he said, will play a vital role in defending the ideological boundaries of the nation. Thousands of people will participate and express solidarity with the Armed Forces of Pakistan and its defense institutions.
