Lahore: The Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Liaqat Baloch has said that the JI on coming into power, would take strict measures to check corruption and seize all ill gotten wealth from the corrupt leaders. In a statement issued here on Monday, he said that the JI would make Pakistan a model, Islamic welfare state. The people indulging in corruption due to their authority would be handed down exemplary punishment, he added.
Liaqat Baloch said that our rulers and politicians had at least 110 dollars billion in Swiss banks besides around 500 billion dollars in US, UK, Dubai and other countries. All possible steps would be adopted to bring this wealth back in order to strengthen the national economy, he added. He said that nature had blessed this country with rich natural and mineral resources but corrupt leadership had burdened it with heavy debt and made it bankrupt, and brought bad name to the nation.
He said that JI would end terrorism, violence, feudal system, inflation, and unemployment and the energy crisis. Besides, JI would introduce unified education system, labor friendly policies, economic reforms besides protecting the rights of the women and the minorities. Liaqat Baloch pointed out that none of the JI parliamentarians or ministers had ever been involved in corruption.
He expressed the hope that in the next elections, the people would reject the corrupt leaders and so-called politicians and elect patriotic and honest persons of JI.
