Karachi: All religions had taught to follow ordain of the Almighty Allah and it ensures success here and hereinafter. The issue of confrontation and war against each other was due to ignoring the eternal ordains of the Almighty Allah. Catering to the poor irrespective to religious affiliation was the landmark of the Jamaat-e Islami, which is aimed at attaining the blessing of the Almighty Allah. Jamaat-e Islami would transform the country into a welfare state when in power and then it would be the sole responsibility of the state to look after the poor and the minorities.
Ameer Jamaat-e Islami Karachi Muhammad Hussain Mahenti said this while addressing the Ration distribution ceremony among the women of the Christian fraternity under the JI minority wing. JI Women wing Central leader Ayesha Munawwar, Women and Family Commission Sindh President Atia Nisar, JI Karachi women wing administrator Rana Fazal, Rakhshanda Naz, Minority Wing (Women) President Humera Afzal and other also addressed.
Hundreds of ration bags were distributed among the women of Christian fraternity, which included Flour, Sugar, Rice, Pulses, Grams, Tea, Dry Milk Powder and other essential kitchen items. Mahenti said that all Prophets had preached of high morality, character-building and taking a lead in works of good deeds.
Ayesha Munawwar in her address said that Pakistan is being served by people belonging to all religions and communities and all should work harder to uplift the country. The country had assorted crises including education, health and employment, which were only because the rulers had been away from the real teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Jamaat-e Islami had a comprehensive agenda of people’s welfare and when in power would ensure distribution of wealth among the poor and would eradicate the trends of profiteering and hoarding and interest, she said adding that Provisioning of equal opportunities of employment, education and health would be the responsibility of the state after JI would take to powers in the country.
Supremacy of law would be ensured and the lawlessness would be eliminated while the rights of the minority would be respected and protected. Electricity and gas tariff would be reduced by 30 percent, she vowed. Rana Fazal said that the women from Christian fraternity have been ahead in welfare works and we should make the service to humanity as sole goal in our lives. Islam is the religion of peace and service to the humanity and ensures complete protection of rights of people whether in majority or in a minority.
Humera Fazal in her address said that Jamaat-e Islami has always been helping the people of minority and would spare no efforts in resolving their problems.
