Jamaat-E-Islami Demands Withdrawal Of Indian Troops From Jammu And Kashmir

RAWALPINDI: Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Jammu and Kashmir Amir Abdur Rasheed Turabi has said that as Kashmir has never been a part of India so it will never be in the future. India had illegally landed troops on October 27, 1947 and forcibly occupied the state of Jammu & Kashmir. He demanded removal of all draconian laws and complete withdrawal of Indian troops from Indian Occupied Kashmir.

In a statement here on Wednesday in the wake of Black Day to be observed in all parts of Jammu & Kashmir today (Thursday), Abdur Rasheed Turabi said that the situation in the occupied territory would not change until Indian draconian laws were totally revoked, Indian troops were withdrawn, Kashmiri detainees were released, and human rights violations were stopped.

He said that the people of Kashmir will continue observing 27th October as Black Day against the illegal Indian occupation and landed of Indian troops in Jammu and Kashmir, forcibly.

He said that India invaded Jammu and Kashmir by breaching the principles laid down for the partition of British India and ignoring the aspirations of the Kashmir people.

He said the people of Kashmir has been rendering unprecedented sacrificed since day first and one day their struggle would yield fruits. He said that the Kashmiris’ sacrifices have made Kashmir dispute an international issue and the international community is putting pressure on India to resolve the dispute peacefully.

He said that 27th October would be observed as Black Day to convey a message to the world that the people of Kashmir were struggling for their right to self-determination. He urged India to fulfill its promise and grant the people of Kashmir their right to self-determination.

He said that the discovery of more mass graves in Indian Occupied Kashmir should be a matter of great concern for the international community. He said that the international community should take strict notice of the frequent arrests of the political leadership as they are prevented from taking part in political activities. The plight of prisoners also needs attention, he deplored.
