N for Nuclear and E for Extended; it seems to be the part of a child’s alphabetical curriculum soon since the space between Nuclear and Extended family system usually leads to a hot debate. When we simplify these terms, so nuclear means separate family system and extended means joint family system commonly, but is it really easy to experience both the systems like their meanings? Obviously not …
According to the different opinions of people those who are experiencing nuclear family system, they consider themselves more independent, economically sound, having less burden etc. In contrast, those who are experiencing extended family system, they think that they are more socially attached, secure, share expenses etc.
In my opinion, there are some flaws in both the systems, for instance; in extended family, family members scuffle a lot with each other, blame each other for their wrongdoings, have unjust distribution of resources while in the case of nuclear family system, there is a sense of insecurity, less adaptation of values, bearing all expenses all alone etc.
In short, if one wants to know the key to the survival of both the systems, so tolerance is the key of it.
