Lahore: Head of Jamat ud Dawah, Professor Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, has said that Islamic Madrassas are fountains of peace and knowledge, not terror hubs. The false propaganda of Western media is only aimed at disintegrating the bonds of love and harmony that exist between Muslim communities of the nation, and in making them distant from Mosques and centers propagating Islamic knowledge. However, it has failed in this agenda owing to the sacrifices being given for Islam and Pakistan’s defense.
He urged the Islamic scholars to play their due role in defending the country and enlightening it with the teachings of Islamic Shariah. Sectarianism is a plague that must be eliminated completely, through unity and cooperation.
These words were spoken at Quranic graduation seminar at Chamberlane road, Lahore, in which Prof. Hafiz Saeed addressed an audience which consisted of distinct professionals and educationists. Eighty-five Maadrassa students were given their degree, as well.
Abdus Salam bin Muhammad, Molana Saifullah Khalid, Qari Yaqoob Sheikh, Molana Abul Hashim, and other spokespersons of JuD also addressed the seminar.
Prof. Hafiz Saeed further claimed that Western think tanks are using the media as a tool to deprive the Pakistani youth of morals, and are brainwashing them into lewdness and adopting un-Islamic trends and ideologies. This also indicates the desperation and frustration being felt by them due to the growing influence of Islam in Europe, Americas and rest of the world.
Professor Hafiz Saeed further said that it is the dire need of time that education backed with an Islamic vision be made available to the masses, so that the purpose of Pakistan’s foundation may be fulfilled. Islam guides us to the best methodology in all walks and aspects of our lives, including state affairs. Qari Abdus Salam Azizi, head of Mahad-al-Quran school, in his address, said that 85 students have graduated from the school, which is a great achievement.
