Islamabad: Senator Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that an attempt to bring blood shed to democracy in the form of long march has been answered by the government in the form of its failure to achieve the goal. He said that we have now decided to end opposition with the head of International Minhaj ul Quran Tahir ul Qadri , following Chaudhary Shujat’s policy of ending ill terms with each other.
He said that Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) had assassinated the MQM member MPA due to their refusal to join the long march. The interior minister said that orders have been given to the SC to investigate the murder case of the NAB investigative officer who was charged in working for the Rental Power Case against the Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf. In case of need, a proper investigative team would also be formed to lead to better findings of the murder case, he further said.
He spoke of these words on Friday at his residence where he was flanked by Deputy Speaker Assembly National Assembly Faisal Karim talking to the journalists. He said the long march was handled in accordance with orders and commands passed by the President and the Prime minister.
The interior minister took the credit of the agreement made between the government and Tahir ul Qadri saying that the peaceful agreement is the result of his efforts. He also thanked the coalition parties on the occasion to end the long march in a democratic way.
