Karachi, Mumbai: As many as two hundred and twenty six women are in lurch after their failed marriages with the Pakistani nationals. The Indian English national, ‘Times of India’ is reported to have said that the wedding between the cross-borders individuals does not presents any heavenly picture.
The newspaper giving reference to the facts and figures of the special branch of PBC said that Pakistani men tied knots to the Indian women. After they failed to get Indian nationality, they divorced them. The persons blame the persisting tensions the reason for their marriage failure and hence lack the support and sympathy of others.
In this case, the death of the spouse results one to return to his or her homeland. In- laws usually do not extend support after the marriage has failed in any way. Six Hindu women are said to have returned to India.
Due to the strict policies, getting nationality again becomes difficult. For claiming Indian nationality, one should permanently reside for seven years. Women with such issue spend long time after applying for nationality again. Women then live in the country on the issuance of Long Transaction Visa (LTV).
