An Indian Border Security Force (BSF) soldier was released on Friday after his arrest for crossing over the working border into Pakistani territory in Sialkot Bajwat sector. The Indian soldier stated that he was treated well by the Pakistani soldiers and that he had no complaints regarding his stay at the Pakistani camp. Satyasheel Yadav talked about his stay under the custody of Pakistani soldiers before his release.
Yaday said that he was made very comfortable and was given food. He wasn’t expecting such treatment from the Pakistani’s and was kept well beyond his expectations. Yaday was travelling in a boat in the River Chenab, when it capsized and he was drifted into the Pakistani borders two days ago. He stated that the Pakistani post was nearby, so he jumped out of the boat with a life jacket on and then tried to swim. But the Pakistani Rangers got him out before he could make away.
The Pakistani soldiers asked him his name after which he was taken into custody and kept at the Markilla camp for investigations. The ISI questioned him about the border security issues during custody.
